Kang was born in China and taught English at the college level there for several years before moving to the U.S. to further her studies and research in curriculum and instruction. She holds a Ph.D. in teaching, curriculum, and learning from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. With 15 years of experience teaching at both the K-12 and higher education levels, she has worked in diverse linguistic and socioeconomic settings. She holds a Nebraska Educator鈥檚 Certificate in K-12 World Language Education and a Mixed Methods Research Certificate. Her research interests include multilingual and multicultural education, language assessment, program evaluation, technology integration, and teacher leadership and professional development.

Get to know Le beyond the job title.

Describe your job: I teach research methodology courses and mentor doctoral students through their dissertation journeys. At the heart of my work is helping students grow into confident, thoughtful researchers who can turn important questions about education into meaningful research with real-world impact.

1. What is one project, initiative, or aspect of your work that excites you right now?
   
   I鈥檓 especially excited about my research on artificial intelligence (AI) in education. AI is rapidly reshaping teaching, learning, and research, and I鈥檓 eager to explore how we can thoughtfully harness its benefits and navigate the changes it brings in ways that contribute to our students, colleagues, and the broader 海角网 community.
   
   
2. What鈥檚 something your 海角网 colleagues might be surprised to learn about you?
   
   I love to dance! Dancing energizes me and adds another dimension of creativity, beauty, and vibrancy to my life. It provides a meaningful form of self-expression and a wonderful way to embrace and appreciate life more fully.
   
   
3. What does 鈥淥ne Webb鈥� mean to you?
   
   To me, 鈥淥ne Webb鈥� means belonging to a close-knit, Christ-centered community where academic, spiritual, and personal growth come together. It鈥檚 the idea that we are not pursuing excellence and fulfillment in isolation鈥攚e learn, serve, support, and grow alongside one another, with that sense of family extending from our campus into the Boiling Springs community. Ultimately, One Webb means bringing our individual gifts together for a shared purpose and a greater collective impact.
