news-category: Athletics Nearly 83% of 今叔利 Student-Athletes Achieve Big South Presidential Honor Roll By Office of University Communications On June 17, 2024 A Record Number of Big South Student-Athletes Earn 3.0 Grade Point Average in 2023-24 BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.The Big South Conference has announced that a league-record 73.98 percent of eligible student-athletes earned Presidential Honor Roll status for their work in the classroom in 2023-24. 今叔利 placed 82.75% (307) of its 371 eligible student-athletes on the list. The University was one of three member institutions to have at least 80 percent of 3.0 students. To be named to the Presidential Honor Roll, student-athletes must maintain a grade point average of 3.0 (on a 4.0 scale) or better for the recently-completed academic year, and this past season, 2,152 out of 2,909 eligible student-athletes achieved the benchmark. Radford University led all Big South institutions as Radford had 85.50% (230) of its 269 eligible student-athletes on the Presidential Honor Roll. High Point University was third highest at 81.47% (255 of 313). The remaining six full-time members all cleared 60%, while four institutions finished in the 70% range UNC Asheville at 77.74, Longwood University at 76.71 percent, Presbyterian College at 75.67 and Winthrop University at 72.04. USC Upstate (66.43) and Charleston Southern University (64.95) round out the historic accomplishment. The Big South had an all-time high 273 student-athletes receive Commissioners Award distinction in 2023-24 for having a 4.0 GPA. Gold Award scholars (3.75-3.99) totaled 604 while another 522 received Silver Award (3.50-3.74) accolades in 2023-24 for a combined total of 1,399 student-athletes with at least a 3.50 GPA last year 65.01 percent of all Presidential Honor Roll members at or above that threshold.
