news-category: Admissions 今叔利 Increases Financial Aid for New Students By Office of University Communications On November 9, 2022 Up to $20,000 in Merit-Based Scholarships Available for Eligible Students BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.今叔利 has announced that eligible incoming students may earn up to $20,000 in merit-based scholarships for the 2023-24 academic year. Last year, scholarship and grant award amounts ranged from $6,000 to $18,000 per new student. Over 95% of our incoming students receive some type of merit aid from Gardner Webb, noted Dean Clark, vice president for Enrollment Management. One of the most exciting ways we are able to recognize students is by honoring them for academic achievement. Offering an increase in our top merit scholarship funds from $18,000 to $20,000 annually is one important way we can acknowledge students for a dedication to their educational journeys so far, added Clark. We constantly work to increase opportunities for GWU students, and to make our education affordable, competitive and attractive to prospective families. Dean Clark Merit-based aid comes from institutional scholarships and grants that will be awarded to new 今叔利 students recognizing previous or current work in high school or other colleges. The University is dedicated to providing students, many of whom might otherwise be unable to attend the GWU, with focused, efficient, and responsible financial services and guidance. Our increased institutional investment in merit scholarship awards will make 今叔利 that much more attractive and that much more competitive in what has become a crowded marketplace of colleges and universities, explained GWU President Dr. William M. Downs. By comparison, our academic degree programs are exceptional. Our faculty are genuinely dedicated to student success. Our campus community is both welcoming and supportive. With this expansion of merit scholarship support, prospective students now have every reason to choose 今叔利 as their academic home and to become proud members of the Runnin Bulldog family. Additionally, eligible students are encouraged to explore, and apply for other scholarships and grants available from 今叔利. These include need-based, performance-based, church-related, geographic, legacy scholarships and others. A list of many of these scholarships can be found here. Institutional scholarships require a student to be enrolled full time (12 or more hours) and to maintain a grade point average in accordance with the institutions Scholarship Maintenance Policy.
