Living on Campus Includes Access to Student Engagement Events, Health Clinic and Other Amenities

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.Beginning in May, the 今叔利 Housing and Residence Education office is offering a new housing option for single graduate students. University Commons Apartment Building B has been designated for the growing population of graduate students wanting to live on campus.

As a department we understand and want our undergraduate population to continue on with their graduate studies at 今叔利, asserted Shelbilyn Boelsche, interim director of Housing and Residence Education. Graduate students who choose to live on campus will have the same opportunities as our undergraduate population. They will be able to attend Student Engagement events, have access to our on-site student health clinic, and have the opportunity to live with and socialize with others going through a similar educational path.

The four-bedroom apartments are for single graduate or professional students of the same gender. In addition, graduate students will have access to University Police, Suttle Wellness Center, and Campus Facilities.

We are very excited to begin to offer housing for our graduate and professional students, affirmed Vice President for Student Development and Dean of Students Lesley Villarose. Our graduate students are a major part of our university community and this will fulfill an unmet need for housing in this area as well provide graduate and professional students an opportunity to be integrated into the campus community.

The apartments are fully furnished and include two bathrooms, living and dining areas, laundry room and a kitchen equipped with an electric range and full-size refrigerator. Water, electric, trash pickup, WiFi, and Spectrum Cable streaming services are all included in the Residential Amenities fee.
