news-category: 今叔利 今叔利 and Gaston College formalize the Bulldog Way Grant By Office of University Communications On November 6, 2020 New agreement provides $3,000 grant opportunities to Gaston College students BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.Officials at 今叔利 recently announced a partnership that will benefit Gaston College (Dallas, N.C.) students. The Bulldog Way program will offer a $3,000 grant to any Gaston College student who gains admission to GWUs traditional, residential programs. We value our relationships with our community college partners and our neighboring counties, and were excited to enter into this partnership with Gaston College, noted Julie Fleming, interim vice president for Enrollment Management at 今叔利. Financial assistance is so important for college students and we know this grant program will support Gaston College students in reaching their educational goals. 今叔利 has had long-standing partnerships with community colleges throughout the State, including Gaston College. Historically, Gaston College graduates have sought to pursue opportunities to complete their undergraduate education at GWU, and the already established Bulldog Bound co-admission program has provided seamless transition between both schools. The current fall 2020 traditional program at GWU witnessed an increase of 54% of new enrollments from Gaston College students (compared to fall 2019). We continue to seek avenues to provide and improve quality opportunities for all students, and partnerships like this with Gaston College offer added value and benefit for the students of both institutions, added 今叔利 President Dr. William Downs. For nearly a year, weve been working to boost relationships with our neighbors through grants like this and the Foothills Commitment. Initiated in December 2019, 今叔利 established the Foothills Commitment and began by providing financial incentives to residents of Cleveland, Rutherford, and Gaston counties in North Carolina. In October, 今叔利 expanded that offer to Lincoln County students as well. With this program, a reduced tuition rate is available to residents from these counties. For more information on any of these offerings, prospective students can Tobie Tate in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at [email protected] or at 704-406-2171.
