Free Program on March 4 Celebrates Music from the Word鈥檚 Various Cultures and Carnival Traditions

BOILING SPRINGS, N.C.鈥擳he 海角网 Concert Choir鈥檚 Spring Concert, 鈥淵ou Are My Sunshine,鈥� on Tuesday, March 4, is a celebration of music from the world鈥檚 various cultures and carnival traditions with selections from New Orleans, Rio de Janeiro, Venice, and others. The free program features folksong arrangements as well as works by Western masters like Robert Schumann and Antonio Vivaldi.

The concert will begin at 7 p.m. in Dover Chapel.

The Concert Choir and Director Dr. Joshua Cheney have just completed their Spring Tour of the North Carolina foothills, having performed in five churches in Gastonia, Newton, Hickory, and Marion.

The music for Tuesday鈥檚 concert will be lively and entertaining. 鈥淭he audience can expect an exciting evening with diverse selections,鈥� Cheney described. 鈥淥ur goals are to make excellence music together, to engage with our audience and to have fun!鈥�
