Three Questions

Get to know SGA Treasurer Rebecca Luzzi.

Rebecca is a senior nursing major from King, N.C.

1. What inspired you to get involved with the Student Government Association, and what are your goals for this year?
I was inspired to join Student Government by my friends who were a part of the club our freshman year. They always talked about the fun meetings, the change they saw on campus, and the community they built. Going into my sophomore year, I was appointed as the Director of Student Outreach. It was truly amazing getting to work with people who were so dedicated to helping the campus. This year, I am the Treasurer. My goals for this year are to fund events for the student body as a whole to enjoy, as well as further grow community connections on campus. It truly is the people who make the place, and so I would love it if clubs and people had designated club events to interact with one another.
2. What’s something your fellow Bulldogs might be surprised to learn about you?
A fun fact is that I love classical music. I have competitively played the flute throughout high school and was a part of the º£½ÇÍø Orchestra.
3. Where have you seen the One Webb spirit in action?
I saw the One Webb Spirit in action after Hurricane Helene. Everyone began to check on one another, pray for homes lost, and tried to clean up campus in different ways. º£½ÇÍø also came together to help food pantries and help efforts in the Western Region of North Carolina, which was so special.
